What do you do if you find a young man or woman who is intellectually disabled and has nowhere to go?

If you are like Theo and Tutu Moniz—a physically handicapped couple—you set up a home for them. That is exactly what this enterprising couple did in 1979, when they purchased a plot of land and set up cottages on it to rehabilitate and care for Navnit, and many other intellectually disabled men and women.

Welcome to our Web site. Feel free to look around and learn more about what we do at the Cardinal Gracias Institute. We’d love to hear from you, so do stop by our Contacts page and drop us a line before leaving.
God bless!
