The present cottages housing our mentally challenged inmates were put up in 1979. Over the years we've kept repairing and rebuilding them. Now the staff quarters, and the office/visiting room remain to be repaired and rebuilt.

Our inmates are accommodated in cottages designed to blend with the rural atmosphere. The design of these cottages is simple: a large open area for the inmate’s beds and cupboards, toilets/bathing rooms and a small veranda. The cost of changing the cement asbestos roofs of all the dormitories is very high. So we decided on installing false ceilings. With help we have been able to install false ceilings for the senior men and women's dormitory. This has helped keep the dormitories cool. Help is needed to install false ceilings for the men and women's dormitories, the community hall, and recovery room.
